AFC Telford United Football Club and Capgemini are teaming up to raise awareness ofthe societal impact of homophobia in football
As part of the Active Inclusion programme, Capgemini is working alongside AFC Telford United Football Clubto organise Kicking It OUTfront, a football event to raise awareness of the societal impact of homophobia in football
Taking place on November 16, this fun filled family day out will see the players wearing a one-off redesigned kit for the home match against Spennymoor Town, featuring an LGBT+ inspired rainbow flag and the Capgemini logo, alongside the logos of other shirt sponsors. After the match, the players’ shirts will be auctioned and funds raised will be donated to the XYZ Youth Group, a charity which supports LGBT+ young people in Shropshire. Capgemini has been the main shirt sponsor for over 15 years.
This collaborative event is supported by Football V Homophobia, Telford Mind, Shropshire Youth Association – XYZ Youth Group, Proud Baggies– West Bromwich Albion Football Clubs LGBT+ Supporters’ Group and Telford Samaritans.
